In 1971, KDA(Karachi Development Authority) announced a scheme for lower earning staff, this is when ICI Staff co-operative housing society was established vide Registration No. SKH 92, in 1971 on the area of 20Acres of land in scheme 33. Since 1971 to 2017 there wasn’t any sufficient development work done on this land, then the court directed to conduct elections for new committee, in 2019 the elections took place in the presence of Nazir/Registrar and the current committee was formed in 2019. The new committee was formed and they started all the development work and didn’t look back and delivered for what was expected from them. In 2020 an auction was conducted for the sale of commercial plots and the auction was highly praised by all the governing bodies who attended the auction. The committee achieved all the goals of the vision they were working on day and night, our aim is to complete all the internal development works by 2021 and develop the society as a high standard society among all the co-operative societies.
